If You Have to Manage It, It’s Not a Service

We’re beginning to think that most virtual IT or Desktop as a Service (DaaS) companies don’t understand what the word “service” in “as a service” really means. At Nuvestack, we strive to deliver a true “service” – meaning we support our customers and engage with them all the way to the end user.
We do this because that’s what we think any and every real service offering should do. But when I review the DaaS and virtual IT market, whether I’m looking at Amazon, VMWare or a host of others, I see the same thing over and over: desktops and applications that are STILL being managed by customers – the same customers who are paying high subscription fees for a “service.”
Bottom line? If the customer has to manage it, it ain’t a service. It’s just a hefty fee to trade one set of headaches for another.
Why Service Is Key to Desktop as a Service
Desktop as a Service has to be better. DaaS has to mean more to a customer than just purchasing the infrastructure that that customer still has to manage. In a number of instances, even once you subscribe to a DaaS solution, if your business needs software, that’s on you. Connection problems in the middle of the night? Tech support is also going to cost you. Need to set up 400 new users in the next week and a half? There’s an hourly tech charge. And, oh yeah, it’s still on you.
FYI, that is NOT how you do business with Nuvestack. But more on that later.
Nuvestack understands that customer loyalty is a highly personal, emotional commitment that’s gained over time. We have all worked with companies that go the extra mile to make us feel appreciated, cared for, even happy. For me, experiences like this sprang from great personal service – the kind of service that established a commitment to a successful outcome for my business.
With DaaS, however, service has historically been very complicated. Providers want to deliver the technology, but they forget there is a person on the receiving end who wants the technology so he or she can focus on business. All that customer really wants and needs is a great product that’s powerful enough to serve their business while also being easy to use and manage.
At Nuvestack, we deliver this kind of solution and go one step further than anyone else – we include world-class service that ties everything together so our customers are out of the desktop and IT management business. Forever.
DaaS: How We’re All Going to Compute with Virtual IT Solutions
Why all the fuss? We believe DaaS is how all businesses are going to consume their computing and IT, but up to now the market has really focused solely on a more technical audience – IT for IT professionals. That’s not the way DaaS providers can behave anymore. We know that DaaS touches real, non-technical, hardworking people who need business computing to solve problems and make their work lives easier. Really, they don’t care so much about “how” we do it, just “that” we do it so they can do their work.
At Nuvestack, commitment #1 is to our customers and their daily computing experience, so we make sure our customers can work fast and work securely … and that they save money. In the rare instance that there’s a problem, customers don’t have the luxury of putting their computing power on hold – they want support, fast answers and a DaaS provider that will keep them up and running. That’s Nuvestack.
We do all of this without a confusing pricing scheme. We give customers one price, all in, with a simple-to-digest subscription model. The price promoted is the price customers pay, no surprises, period.
We founded Nuvestack because we are passionate about virtual IT solutions and DaaS. It’s all we do and all we plan to do. We are passionate about our customers’ DaaS experience and will always do everything within our power to ensure our customers GET the experience and service they need.
At Nuvestack, we go all in for our customers. We make DaaS easy for everyone. End-user customer support, a simple all-in pricing model, no management headaches for our customers. It’s all on us.
So, how valuable would real service like that be to you? How much more could you get done if you stopped managing your “services,” stopped managing desktops and IT resources forever? How good would it feel and how productive would your business be if you could stop worrying about IT headaches because you worked with a provider you could trust to get the job done right?
Want to find out? Contact Nuvestack today, because to us, what we’re doing is providing a real service – and that’s the only kind of virtual IT and DaaS we provide.
