What does your Cloud desktop provide with a low monthly fee?

We tell people all the time that you can get Nuvestack DaaS (Desktop as a Service) for a low monthly fee per user, but the question that often arises is “what does that mean?” Recently I did a little research to find out.

Cloud desktop price, service and software

First, users get a custom, virtual desktop that includes support as well as key applications like the Microsoft Office Suite, Skype, and Adobe PDF reader among others. It means those users can access that desktop and all of the applications it houses from any device – their laptop, a desktop computer at home, an iPad while taking the train to work or on their phone when they happen to run into a key contact – wherever they have an internet connection. It means that the device they use is always fast because the apps are running in the Cloud, not resident on the device, not taking up space and system resources. And it means the data is secure, because even if the user’s device is lost or stolen, the data in the device’s apps is in the Cloud, not on the device itself.

Second, for the customers, it means easier budgeting because the cost doesn’t change (unless you add or delete users, which is very easy to do – so if an employee is taking a few months off, there’s no reason to pay for his or her desktop access during that time). It also means new equipment isn’t necessary every two years because even older PCs will have blazing fast performance when they’re used to access a Nuvestack desktop because the data and the app are in the Cloud so the device doesn’t get bogged down. It means updates are automatic and users don’t have to do these themselves, licenses are handled by Nuvestack and desktop management tools are all part of the package. And, to reiterate, if there’s ever a problem the low monthly fee includes support, whether it’s the user or the IT team that needs it.

Cloud desktop comparison

I researched some of the biggest providers of DaaS to see what the same service that Nuvestack provided would cost elsewhere. Here’s what I found:

Nuvestack delivers more service for less money than the biggest providers of Cloud desktops. To us, that fits our goal of providing the best DaaS value and service around.
